OK so now I've got my Freedom Kilt which doesn't need a kilt pin I'm going to give the major airports a kilted visit. Nothing sharp on the sporran and chain so they can go through the x-ray and I won't need to check in any luggage for a day trip. I have the bargain flights booked on Easyjet Newcastle to Stansted return, same timings both days, Tuesdays 27th February and 13th March. One of these dates I will be remaining in the Stansted area to visit the collection of old warbirds at North Weald - will probably do this trousered as I may get an opportunity to clamber aboard some warbirds. The other date I will travel kilted and get a train from Stansted to London, so should be able to be kilted in central London from around 1pm till 6pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Kilted in London will be a new experience for me. Do either of those dates suit anyone for a meet up?

I'm just outside London in Kingston,
and I;m sure I could make a visit to London with very short notice, it would be lovely to meet a few of x markers over here, and perahps get a few party photos as well!!

I would love to attend a meet but the train fare to London from Wales costs me more than flying to Edinburgh!
So not economic for a day trip.

Thank you, Alex, for your PM in which you drew me back to this topic - I've not been looking very deeply at most of the threads of late.
I am still 'up' for a London meet and could be in the capital on the 13th March Tuesday, but I have a hospital appointment on 27th February which makes that a non-starter for me. Paul and I have been talking about meeting in London for a while, but have not yet managed to arrange it - perhaps the time is now right!
Weekdays are still difficult for many chaps, but let's see what we can do to generate some interest (and availability). So, Alex and Paul for starters; are we able to agree Tuesday 13th March for a London gathering?
Anyone else in the South-East/Greater London area who could join us?
