Fix for Pics?
Don't know if this will work for everyone, but I often cannot see Ron's images when I first open up. I run Norton Symatec security. When I shut down the security for a few moment, then refresh the screen, I can see it pics.
On my computer I put the cursor on the yellow circle with a black grid on the lower right of the computer screen. Then left click which brings up a dialogue box. Inside the box I left click on disable Norton Internet Security, which brings up a box in the middle of the screen that asks if I really want to do this. I left click yes and wait a moment. Then I go to the grey area at the top of the screen and left click on refresh. The pics appear.
I can adjust how long the security program is off. Usually leave it at 5 minutes. After that time, Norton comes back on.
Maybe this will help some of you.

I am not versed in Norton's, but I administer a McAfee protected network but I seem to remember that in the newer home versions of Virus scan software, as part of the protection scheme, the security policy will block content linked to from outside the target domain (hot linked to another domain outside of xmarksthescot.com).
This is done to protect the users from going to a website that looks harmless but the code on that webpage that you don't see, would bring in scripts and on access link code and thereby infecting, depositing unwanted spyware, adware, etc. on your system. That would account for the problem with not being able to see photos hosted in photobucket or other other such depositories since they are outside the targeted XMarksthescot.com domain. Thus when you disable Norton's you can see it until the protection is forced back on by policy.
Take a look at your security setting options and see if there is some way of overriding that blocking or adding in approved domains to recieve known good outside linking i.e. Photobucket etc. Hope this helps. It would probably be under security settings or something like that. I am sure Norton's has a self help area on the customer service site, where you can put in key words and find solutions. If I get a chance tonight I will look for myself to see if I can find something about extenal domain blocking.

Trouble is I don't have problems with photobucket, only seemingly those sites used by Mike, Hamish and Dread and the problem continued even with the Norton firewall switched off (with the exception of just 3 of Hamish's pics).
So I am not sure that even adding their sites to an allowed list would work Warhoover.
