I've never in my life made "kissy faces" at my wife.

He didn't actually discover Valentine's Day.
He discovered girls-woo-hoo--and found that today is a good time to make his move. I hope he got some sugar out of the deal.
Poor sap. He is in for it now! And don't forget that advice about drinking; it's all you can hope for.

What you do now is take him aside and scare the life out of him by showing him a movie of childbirth and a diaper changing and tell him it is becuase of kissy-face and Valentines day. that should make him think about what he is doing to you.

Good idea. And have him carry a ten-pound sack of flour around for a day or two to get the feel of baby care.

Oh to be young again. As a twenty years old having been rebuked by my then sweetheart for wasting money on a valentine card when supposed to be saving up for our future I vowed there and then that I would NEVER buy a valentine card for any woman again and I have stuck with that for 35 years. But Ann is incurably romanatic so instead of sending a card I always buy her at least one polyanthus plant (a pack of four this year) at Valentine's Day, which I then plant in the garden and sometimes they flower again year after year, which is more lasting than a card.

Let's make it clear. Your son did not discover Valentine's Day. As thescot said, he discovered girls. And a smart man realizes that Valentine's Day is an opportunity to impress a lady (as if we aren't expected to do that the other 364 days of the year)!
On the other hand, a stupid man doesn't discover Valentine's Day either. His evil female companion throws it in his face as a way to once again remind him how horrible he is and that if he wants the slightest chance of surviving the rest of the year, he better come home with a pound of See's Candy.
Your son seems to be a smart one!

Actually, I don't put much emphasis on Valentine's Day. I did go out to dinner with my special someone and bought him a game he had been wanting. I'm more for being romantic year around but its nice to have an excuse to do something for someone special.
Brett, help me out with this thing and Dread making kissy faces at his wife. Is it that he is unaware of all that mushy stuff that goes on between the two of them durring kilt nights?

I beg your pardon!
Actually, it is probably true.
I think I would have given up a long time ago with out her. Wouldn't be much reason for living. Probably would have let my self go, I wouldn't have taken care of my self, wouldn't have fought to get back better health, probably would have done exactly as the doctors predicted and died by 30. Probably through intentional means, by my own hand.
Ah, love...
Oh, was I thinking outloud again?
