I've managed to get over most of my addictions. Some of them have been hard to break, though.

The worst had to be my diecast Hot Wheels collecting phase. I started collecting in 1999 (BK -before kilts), and by the end of 2001 I'd amassed more than 5,000 of the little toys. What got me stopped was tallying up the total amount I'd spent in the first 8 months of 2001. Well over $5K on the early redline-era cars.

I managed to sell off 99% of my collection, breaking even financially. I still have about 100 cars left, but they aren't for sale. Haven't bought any new ones in more than 5 years, but I'm still searching for a couple of redline ones.

As for my kilt addiction...I've been quite good lately. Haven't bought one since our trip to Seattle last fall.
