I sit corrected and should have know better. I was in Company A, First Maryland Infantry, Army of Northen VA for 3 years.
This was during the 60's. I was thinking the battle flag.
I walked behind the battle flag across a long field up a slop toward a small group of trees in a small town called Gettysburg one hot summer day.
I should say I don't agree with many of the ideas behind the Confederacy but Maryland was at heart a southern state and playing reinactor was a lot of fun for a 15 year old.
