An interesting cow in a school yard off the Canongate, Edinburgh.
Andrew posing with the statue of the poet Robert Fergusson.
Looking down Cockburn St which runs down from the Royal Mile towards the Waverley Bridge area.
The old Parliament House in Edinburgh - pity they didn't decide to use this for the Parliament after it reassembled after a gap of a couple of centuries or so!
The Courts of Justice, High St.
Victoria St, which runs down from the Royal Mile towards the Cowgate/Grassmarket area.

Good pictures, Trefor, liked the colourful coo.
Cockburn Street and Victoria Street are just off the main tourist drags but have a lot of character of their own.

I see the coos are still part of the landscape in Embra.
This was taken in July of '06.
I'm still trying to sort if these were coos wie horns or bulls wie udders.
Now watch as some wise yin will point out that Danish Red, White Park and Texas Longhorn coos do have horns. But I'll wager none of them ever wore fishnet stockings!

I think a lot of the cows have moved on to pastures new since then Mike. Didn't see any in the Princes St Gardens area but there was at least one other somewhere on the Royal Mile but although I took a pic, it didn't come out well.
I remember that Toronto had loads of similar bright coloured Moose when I visited in 2000 but they had vanished on my next visit in 2005.

I t looks rainy. The 5 or 6 times I've been to Edinburgh I've been lucky. It has only rained twice on me. Cloudy yes. And, you are right, Cockburn street does have its own character! When I go down it I feel like a old fart.
But, even when it rains it is good to be there.
Cheers,Leslie
