The saltire is only in the pleated section. It would appear that you could not mmake a kilt small than that shown it the above photo, other wise some would be lost in the deep side pleats. A larger kilt could probably be made by adding pleats either side of the saltire. But you'll notice that the critical tapering of the pleats are done above the design. Having never seen the fabric myself however, this is only just assumption. Chef have discussed this with the seller yet?
