How do you attach the pommel? Is it just epoxied straight onto the butt of the handle? If so, is it better to rough up the two surfaces, or keep them flat?
Andrew.

Loctite super glue w/ accelerator. Honestly I've used cheap super glue w/ excellent results. I just flatten everything w/ my disc/belt sander. Make sure it is true and glue to just hold it together and seal the fine seam. So as you can see the handle is complete before epoxy is added in copious amounts. Jam the blade in to force the excess out which makes it all one solid unit. I've used masking tape on the blades to keep the epoxy off and I've also used a little chap stick on the blade by the hilt so the epoxy wipes off easily. O'Neille
