			One for the fisher-folk?

I'm working on converting a plain brown leather sporran at the moment that I use mainly for fly-fishing.Now, my fiance was recently gifted with a small, round patch of sheepskin to fasten to her vest that she could put her flies on for easy access.
I was hoping to do something similar with my sporran. Just remove the tassells, press and glue on the sheepskin and then replace the tassells.

The only problem is that I can't find any decent supply for the sheepskin locally.
So, does anyone here have any warnings about using sheepskin from an old coat?
Any problems with applying the sheepskin and having it fray?

It really would be useful to have something like this because I much prefer wearing my kilt to fish, by my fly case just doesn't fit in my sporran.

 Many thanks,
 Arlen.

What you want is real sheepskin; not only does it not fray, but the natural oils and lanolin makes it water repellant; much better for holding the steel hook of a dry fly as it dries. A contact cement like Barge's should work fine.

Any ideas on how dying it might cause problems?
