INFANTRY? Isn't that the name of a crunchy cereal Scouts Out!

    Just playing also MtnMan

For those who may not know, "Crunchies" is an affectionate term used by mounted cavalry for our "dismounted" brothers.

Due to the "crunch" sound of the boots on the ground, right?

    Oh how times have changed!
I was in the 2/12 1st Air Cav. in Nam
the only riding I did in a chopper was from the fire base to the bush
and back to the firebase 30 days later.
once we got out of the chopper we walked every where until they picked us up again

Remember mech may ride up to enemy lines But when Air-Mobile Infantry gets out of that bird they are behind enemy lines

Air-Mobile Infantry goes where Mech can't and everyone fears to tred.

Actually, it seems to be a universal name for Infantry guys. My PSG calls me one. I can't help it if I see everything through blue lenses - even Signal Corp missions.
