Hebert is also a fairly common surname in Louisiana; for example, there was a Herbert who commanded the 3rd Louisiana Infantry (CS) at the Battle of Wilson's Creek.

GOOD GRIEF!!
I just found out I'm the decedent of POT DEALERS!!
Origins of the Clan Shaw
The Shaw family found themselves constantly beset by their larger neighbour the Clan Comyn/Cumming. They sought support by becoming allies with the powerful Clan Donald through marriage. Later they also became part of the Chattan Confederation as a sept of the Clan Mackintosh and then later they became a clan of their own. A Clan warrior by the name of Kiley Shaw was beginning to get tired of the day-to-day humdrum of the highlands, he started a raiding party he named The Plagues Horsemen, and they travelled around to far away clans and caused havok, Kiley and his clan were savage warriors, very skillfull and at the time there was none in the land who could defeat him. The English tried under Sir Barnum of Baileys but were slaughtered in a horrific and bloody battle of the Shire in 1456. Kiley was also a skilled trader and sailed to distant lands and traded spices they grew in Scotland for what we now know as Marijuana. Back then Marijuana was called the ghost weed. Kiley sailed the south pacific with his exotic boutique of Scotland's finest spices and became an extremely wealthy man, he ended his tenure as the worlds greatest Scott after retiring in Fiji and having 12 wives, all super pretty and were from Sweden. He remains today as one of Scotland's finest, and is still remembered today by all Scott's across the the planet with drinking contests and feats of strength and balance. Kiley Shaw is the greatest of all time.
