Forgive the brief hijack/rant!
Its sad but I have as well! I came upon not one but two deer skeletons in the same location on a recent hike through a section of a trail in Florida that I help maintain. The skeletons showed no sign of disturbance other than scavaging save one, both had the antlers sawn off the skulls. I contacted FWC about them. I have hunted all my life, I have never wasted an animal like that and I don't understand those that do. I have always shown proper respect to the spirit of the animal I take. This is out of respect of my Iroquois ancestry. I know most of my brother hunters do follow some kind of code of respect but there are always those that show just how disrespectful they are and that lessens us on the whole.
Sorry for the brief hijack, the kilt pin looks great! Very very nice. The Jade really shines against the natural antler. A very nice touch. Should add a really nice touch of contrast on your kilt. I really do need to give a try at making items like that.
I love the kilt pin. How does it attach to your kilt?
