Deer Antlers
Robin is looking for a source for antlers to make a knifehandle, I found one site but he needs the whole thing. While going through my bookmarks inspiration hit me- check E-Bay. Success!!

You can also get them and many other items from the "Moscow Hide and Fur Co." in Idaho. Just do a google on them. I get most everything I need from them.

Thanks, that's the site I was looking for last night. I thought I had it bookmarked and I couldn't remember the name.

Thanks for reminding me, deer season is coming up. I'll see if I can't get any for free

You don't need to wait for deer season, deer shed their antlers often, just go hiking in deer territory and you'll probably trip over them just lying on the trail.

Sheds will have been eaten by mice and other wood land critters by now. No new sheds till next year.
I suspect I will have one of Todd's boys harvest me some antler, I'm only looking to help control doe population and have some meat for the winter.
I have a nice damascus blade finished, just have to find the right handle material. It might be stag, might not. I may try to stop by Agios' place one weekend and try to forge another blade and stag handle that blade. Then I can do something a bit more artistic with my damascus blade.
