Chances are that harpie friend of hers has been in her ear, telling her it's "weird" that you wear it. She couldn't break you down with the "crossdresser" comments, so she took another direction. I don't think there's a good answer. I wish you well.

Okay then, if you're making a baby together then you're "married like" as they say out her in Rez land.
So, if she's willing to be open there are myriads of websites about the current kilt fashion boom, the heritage of kilts, the common sense of kilts for men.
Lady should be proud of her man being on the cutting edge of fashion and wisdom.
And, take her to the next Highland Games or Celtic Festival you can find in your area.
Methinks she don't wanna be without a man what with a baby on the way. Somewhere there's a fear lurking inside her....if its what other people think that's just plain none of her business.

so wearing ...
My friend Die-Anna (her spelling) got me a t-shirt that states it quite clearly:
It's a kilt ....
Dumba-- !
I think it'd go well with a Black Watch from your favorite kilt maker and it'd shut the mouthy ones up.

If you need "help," I'll be down there pn Thurs.
My work brings me to ATL about every week.
My parents live in Lilburn, right near Stone Mtn. and Tucker, just north of Clarksville.
Maybe, we could meet for dinner at The Angel in Decatur, an appropriate place to be kilted.
(Maybe, I should post THAT over on Kilt Nights.)
PM or email me, if there is any "assistance" I can provide.

I agree. Girlfriends come and go, but a well made kilt will last for years.

Well... Kilts are better than wives. They support you, don't mind if you have more than one, never complain about "man stuff', accessorise well, hold you just right all the while giving you plenty of room to breathe.
Just a bit of wisdom I have observed.
Edit. I just realised that there are women that know me on this very forum that will read this, and likely kill me. Or tell my wife.
I hope my funeral is nice. Please bring a piper and make sure my marker reads "The doggamn bats finally got him."

ClarksTON is in the northeastern Atlanta suburbs. ClarksVILLE is in Habersham County, in the north Georgia mountains.

Clarksville is a mountain village.
