After watching a few of the videos on Bill's website, and staring slack-jawed at some of the stuff on youtube, I tried a new technique for the 28 pound weight today at lunch.

Well, I took 8 pounds off, for fear of destroying my rotator cuff, but it went well. I can't figure out how to spin twice, and I never seem to get quite enough acceleration with a single spin, so how to get more **oomph** going without the second spin? Answer; start with a single full-tilt swing/rotation of the weight, with the arm only, no spin (as per the video of Harrison Bailey III on Bills web site) and segue that into my single spin.

The result? I regularly toss 20 pounds about 42 feet (and 28 pounds about 35-36 feet with 38+ being miraculous), but today with this extra rotation in there, I was putting the 20 pounder out there no less than 44 feet every time and I even scared myself once and probably dropped it in there at about 48 feet. Next up, I'll trying it with 25-26 pounds and seeing how it goes. That'll probably be early Saturday morning. Then, maybe I'll get one more throwing workout next Wednesday after work where I'll focus on the 28'er for distance and caber and that's it. After that I'm resting up for Saturday.
