It looks to me as though the last run of X-Marks Tartan was three years ago... are people still making kilts of it now?

There was a recent run this year. It was overseen by Steve Ashton of Freedom Kilts. If interested there might be some left but I doubt it.

Interested? Yes. But it's only an idle interest, as I'm still a starving college student, and probably couldn't afford it. Alas.

Oh my goodness, an XXX rated Kilt!!!!!
So that's what I should have titled my thread-The XXX Kilt-since I'm making a box pleat, two tone X-Kilt which includes the X-Marks tartan. That would have gotton lots of attention. Have to ask the mods how to change the title!

    Be well,

    WHO is "he" exactly?

The last one of X Mark tartan was last summer. There is one "in process" now. It was milled once, but had problems and was rejected. Now, there is another run somewhere in process, until Steve gets an update and lets us know.

The previous runs were in 14 oz wool by F&K.
The present one in 16 oz, from the same mill.

Steve WAS planning to get some extra in the run to sell, I assume he did so. Also, some may have extra they are willing to sell. When the tartan gets here (to members), post a "wanted" request.

Now you're really starting to scare me. Now put down the scissors and step away from the sewing machine!

That was the first run. Another was completed a year and a half or so later and there is a run in works just now.
