I have a Black Stewart Kilt that I wear with a black knit casual shirt and black hose. The kilt is acrylic, but I like the look, so may upgrade to PV Black Stewart or wool.

Being a goth from way back, I think all black is the way to go. In fact, the majority of my wardrobe is black. The outfit looks good.

Besides the kilt and cowboy emsemble, I have yet to see a picture of you, Panache, that doesn't look stylish. I have always wanted a plain black kilt solely for this reason.

Hey, don't think you're so alone! Although, to be fair I have to admit that I'm more of a rivethead than goth now days. I still go back to some good Robert (Smith of The Cure), Peter (Murphy of Bauhaus), and/or Andrew (Eldritch of The Sisters Of Mercy) every now and then.

My only suggestion, the sporran seems to be crowding the belt. Of course, tightening up the sporran would be a good idea for dancing.

So I put together an all black kilted outfit...

The F-H.C.A.G. and I thought it looked rather sharp.

I was wondering what the assembled Rabble made of the ensemble.

That outfit does, indeed, look sharp. If I had a black kilt (completed), we could "twin" it at a Nor-Cal Kilt Night.

Would you consider some of the bar & buckle officer mess dress shoes, also known as dancing shoes? IMHO, the buckles on the shoes would contribute a pleasing visual reference point to the overall outfit.
