Need advice:Sport kilt –vs- Still Water standard weight

You guys are the best. Stillwater it is. They have the green solid in my size in heavy weight.

Do you all think that would look good if I rented an argyle jacket, cream hose and a dress shirt?

Buy the hose and dress shirt if you can afford them, you'll get plenty more use from them. I would advise a Prince Charlie for a wedding if you want a true formal look.

I know what Brian is saying but for me for a wedding in the US unless it is VERY formal or VERY Scottish I'd go with the Argyll. I love the look of the PC but unless the other guests are going to be in tuxes you'd be over-dressing.

I agree with both of you. I am getting married in Sept and for that I am wearing a PC. But for attending other weddings, I am trying to keep it a little less formal. I would like it to be dressy but not over done.

Side note Brian, I own the hose and shirt, I should have been more clear in my post. I will just be renting the jacket.
