Or a kilted weekend! I'm in Asheville, and driving all the way to the triangle for a "kilt night" is just not possible.
Last year, I proposed a kilted hiking weekend here in the mountains. Lots of folks were interested, but it never really developed. If there is still interest let's talk. I'll be happy to handle the arrangements if we decide to gather near Asheville.

yep, which is why an NC Kilt Night would probably end up in the Triad (Winston-Salem or Greensboro). a full-on Carolina Kilt Night should happen in Charlotte, that way we can include many of our ilk from SC. and a Triangle Kilt Night should get those in the Triangle of course, and the Triad, and the coast (i know we got one guy in New Bern at least).

That's the right place. It's been storming pretty badly here this afternoon. Last weather report I saw predicts more of the same for Saturday. Hope it changes coz those reenactment tents they use leak!

Now that's something I'd be up for as well. Timing would be the issue with me, since I never know when I'm working until the week of.

You going to be training at Lackland? If so, I'm at Ft Sam Houston and I've found a couple of kilt friendly places around town. We have a nephew at SJ and he likes it. He married his wife at the beach a year or so ago. If you come to San Antonio give me a holler.
YMOS,

I just got back from camping, so I missed the W-S games. We definitely need to do something. I suppose we should just try to schedule something. I am heading to Mexico on Tuesday for a week to build a church and will return on the 22nd. If I don't see something proposed by someone by then, I will propose a quickie kilt night in W-S or GSO.
So, by means of a straw poll to set it in W-S or GSO, please respond here (again) if you are from W-S or GSO.

san angelo
hey all,
I will be at Goodfellow AFB near San Angelo while i am in Tx. I was thinking I would take a wknd trip to San Antonio to see the river walk, last time I was there I was in uniform from just graduating basic. A kilt night or wknd would be great as I have never been to one. I will let you all know whats goin on when I get closer to completing training. Take care

I'm still interested, but the problem is my PUT is still dead (needs a new engine), and I can't leave my work van unattended lest I loose my tools.
