I have always been under the impression that Cilt was the Welsh spelling, and Kilt was the Scottish. The garment is the same. I have kilts that are hemmed, and others that are not. Depends on who made them.

'Tis true only our Welsh members spell it cilt. So when McClef comes a visiting to Canada SOKS will change it's name to SOCS in his honour.
