    As you can see from my avatar, I've never been a member of any other clan! I consider it my family tartan.

    Between my wife and I, we have the following items in the maple leaf tartan:

    1 kilt (16 oz., by Alexis Malcolm)
    1 set of flashes
    2 neckties (1 men's, 1 women's, which is thinner)
    1 winter weight scarf
    1 spring weight scarf
    1 ladies dress sash
    1 women's garter

    That's a longwinded way of saying that I think it is the most beautiful tartan ever designed.

    Best,

    Cirthalion

    I just received my new Maple Leaf from MacHummel at Canadian Casual Kilts and WOW! I'm blown away by the look, quality, feel & fit. This is My first PV kilt, I have a wool SWK and two canvas (one Freedom, one CCK), and I'm loving this poly-viscous. The fit is outstanding, the feel is wonderful. My kilt feels light but I have no concerns of fly away, I only wish that I could see how wonderful the pleat swish is. The workmanship is top notch, I have no qualms what-so-ever of recommending Pete and his CCK. Wife permitting I'll add more CCK's to my collection and being so reasonably priced I'm jonesing already. Oh here's the pics;

    ... And the obligatory pleat shot!

    The Hamish MkIIb (lazy style).

    This is an important kilt for me as I do not have a family tartan but I can wear my national tartan with such pride and I shall.
    I have to thank Pete (MacHummel) for making me this wonderful kilt, the colours are really incredible. Thank you also to CajunScot for suggesting that I seek out and consider the Maple Leaf tartan when I first joined XMarks and to Hamish for showing me how classy the Maple Leaf really is.
