Would you please do us all a favor and weigh the kilt? If you don't have a good scale available you can put it in a plastic grocery bag and take the kilt to the Post Office, supermarket meat or deli counter, or even to another business which does their own shipping.

If you assume an 8 yard kilt one made from 16oz fabric should weigh in the neighborhood of 3 3/4 lb.
