I'm sure if material falls short and there is enough orders after it's gone he'll get another bolt. The process of colors and set up is over and they probably could quite easily spin off a few more yards. I think it's just a matter of having enough orders to make it worth getting more. Due to the response I've seen lately there may be a few more out there.

I think this is also going to be a very popular item this year at the various Ontario highland games that MacHummel is going to this year. It will also help at the Fergus Highland Games that there may be quite a few new CCK owners and to boot wearers of the Maple leaf. It could look like a Canadian fall in August.

Just a question but how many are thinking of coming to Fergus and how many will be there with there new CCK Maple Leaf kilts???.

Just to let you know they have added a concert on Aug 9th, a day before the games opens for a tribute night for John Allen Cameron. I don't know any details on price or entertainment but we'll post all the entertainment details for the whole weekend in a thread in Highland games discussion section later once we hear more.
The only band confirmed is the Mudmen on the Saturday night Aug 11.
Great band, looking forward to seeing them after an absence of a quite a few years.

As you can see from my avatar, I've never been a member of any other clan! I consider it my family tartan.

Between my wife and I, we have the following items in the maple leaf tartan:

1 kilt (16 oz., by Alexis Malcolm)
    1 set of flashes
    2 neckties (1 men's, 1 women's, which is thinner)
    1 winter weight scarf
    1 spring weight scarf
    1 ladies dress sash
    1 women's garter

That's a longwinded way of saying that I think it is the most beautiful tartan ever designed.

    Best,

    Cirthalion

    I just received my new Maple Leaf from MacHummel at Canadian Casual Kilts and WOW! I'm blown away by the look, quality, feel & fit. This is My first PV kilt, I have a wool SWK and two canvas (one Freedom, one CCK), and I'm loving this poly-viscous. The fit is outstanding, the feel is wonderful. My kilt feels light but I have no concerns of fly away, I only wish that I could see how wonderful the pleat swish is. The workmanship is top notch, I have no qualms what-so-ever of recommending Pete and his CCK. Wife permitting I'll add more CCK's to my collection and being so reasonably priced I'm jonesing already. Oh here's the pics;

Front shot on the beautiful Grand River in Fergus, Ontario.

    3/4 shot...

... And the obligatory pleat shot!

    The Hamish MkIIb (lazy style).

This is an important kilt for me as I do not have a family tartan but I can wear my national tartan with such pride and I shall.
I have to thank Pete (MacHummel) for making me this wonderful kilt, the colours are really incredible. Thank you also to CajunScot for suggesting that I seek out and consider the Maple Leaf tartan when I first joined XMarks and to Hamish for showing me how classy the Maple Leaf really is.

I seem to recall a certain person complaining that mine had been made first...

Well that certain person has certainly got theirs first! oop:

Pictures looks great and in a lovely setting too!

(Wonder if mine has got past Newfoundland on its journey - it will be a week tomorrow since it set off!)

Thanks for posting the pictures, Grant.

I can only repeat what McMurdo said - I can hardly wait.

Hmmmm . . . . Perhaps I'll have to take the week off work, so I'll be at home the minute it arrives.

Trefor, we are all waiting to see you in your 8 yarder, would be even better to see it in person. I drove an hour north to pick up my kilt as funnily enough we had a kilt night there in Fergus. Poste between Canada and UK is faster than between Canada and the US or even Canada cross town. I am actually surprised that you still don't have your kilt after a week. Poor Barclay had to drive about 12 hours up here as he was knew well that poor old Dobbin up here is very slow. The only thing I appreciate Canada Post for is that Starbkjrus will have to wait weeks for his for all the goading of me and the bribing of MacHummel...
