I own one the same as you are giving your dad (with a different stone). I wore it to my wedding and it looked great. I think both are quite nice but I agree with Bob C, the black stone would be more versitile.

Both are really nice, but I like the first one the best. (Maybe because I've been eyeing it myself for awhile

) Can you get it with an amber or cairngorm stone? That would probably make it more versatile.

I have to admit, after spending a good bit of time looking around, I found one with a beautiful green stone.
Now green is my favourite colour. And it prompted me to decide on that with green hose and a green cravat.

I'm with you - green is definately my favorite color.
