Doesn't the SCA stop at 1600? Which would put your period outside their perview.

I think in recent years the pre-1600 rule has become very relaxed in response to all the post-1600 pirates who have entered the picture.

I've actually met and talked with them a NUMBER of times (they were the ones at Taste of Scotland in Franklin. They are on my "short-list" to get in touch with.
