When people have asked if I play bagpipes, I've responded, "No, but I've heard them" and keep moving on. They don't see to get the jab. Perhaps I need to add: "Did you know that bagpipes only play in B flat? ... I was working on a transcription the other day for....

I've also responded, when asked if I'm Scottish (or Irish), "No, I'm Spanish".

Being that this is a family forum, can't post my best answer to the "are you Scottish" question. Most folks are being nice enough and you can be nice enough in kind.

Some are confused, and Rocky RULES! that is a great line!

Positive thoughts attract like thoughts. If you slip and catch the odd bozo, let that anger turn to something more productive and the cheeky riposte will reveal itself to you as if my magic.

Try shopping kilted in Denton Maryland. They don't even see pipe bands out here except on T.V.

My District Supervisor asked me where my bag pipes where. My riposte was based on his "Daisy Duke" shorts and will nae be further discussed herein. ( I can only come up with those if the guy can pound the traditional Scottish craaap out of me AND negatively affect my pay. It's a gift)

Overall most people are nice to me. Most of the time I have the common sense to ignore those that ain't . But we all have those days.......
