Welcome Mark,
Texas needs more kilts. Thanks for helping.

Happen to be a church goer? First Baptist Midlothian by chance? I work for the Architectural firm that designed the recent addition.
Also June 1st, my wife and I were 8 floors above your head at the Gaylord with a lovely atrium balcony overlooking the mission. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and ate dinner in the sports bar/grill.
If I'd known about the show, I would have tried talking the wife into it.
I am a church goer, but not at First Baptist Midlothian.
Maybe you can make it back to the Gaylord while I'm there. It'd be great to meet up.

That mystery-science-dinner-theatre-3000 sounds like great fun.
You mentioned that you were going to make the clark/clergy tartan your first acquisition; are you by chance a clergyman, then?
Looking forward to seeing you around the 'board!

By vocation I'm an engineer, but by avocation I am a bible teacher (I've actually been doing that for much longer than engineering). I'm in the process of getting my ThD. You might say that's my "real" calling. Also, my mother's maiden name was Clark, so I decided the Clark/Clergy tartan would be appropriate on two levels.
There seems to be a lot of great X-Markers in North Texas! I'm looking forward to seeing you either at the Gaylord or the Tipp.

Hello to hallmarktex. My wife's aunt & uncle live on the southeast side of Midlothian. I'm just up-the-road from you in Duncanville. I'll bet your 'show' at the Gaylord is great. Gotta run-have a leaking drain pipe from the A/C and have to get up into the attic to repair the pipe. ( 88 degrees outside--100+ in the attic. )

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Uncle Al, we must haunt the same areas as half the folks I know live in Duncanville. Maybe we can "accidentally" run in to one another in Cedar Hill while kilted. That would blow some minds!

Welcome (late) from the Knoxville, TN area. Coincedentally, my first foray into kiltdom was while we were doing MacBeth in college. I found out later that MacDuff was actually wearing a MacDuff tartan! I played a peasant, so I didn't get a kilt, but I had the costume mistress make me one, albeit out of flannel. Hey, it makes a great pajamakilt!
