I don't imagine him being a friend any longer...
From Sanjuro (early version): the most dangerous thing in the world is stupid friends.
Yeah, if he/they were my friends, I'd have told the police. Depending on their reactions the next day, they might stay friends.
Besides the "clothing, not a religion" issue here, there's a bit of hypocrisy. Some of the comments about chick magnet, and kilt lifting in other threads look like some people wouldn't mind this happening to them. Three-thirty in the a.m., willing partner, in the backyard: how bad can that be?
Obviously, the media is leaving stuff out for the sake of the story. Most other countries wouldn't make so much of this. Apart from the kilt thing, but that adds to the legend (there's an interesting old quote if you google some of the keywords from the story and John Masters. I'm not going to supply it.)

When the folks broke into watergate they were wearing pants, Kennedy was shot by a man wearing pants, most street crimes are committed by people wearing pants.
most Major white color crime is committed by men wearing pants.
I think a case could be made that wear kilts reduces crime.
I think congress should act now to change the constitution to require all men to wear kilts-this way we can reduce crime...although the birth rate may triple with the money we save on crime cases we can have universal health care.
Maybe somebody should tell rush limbaugh this information...
after all stastics clear show that kilt wearers have a lower level of violent crime and white collar crime.
((not included in this are drunk driven violations))

Another case of the media taking an ordinary story and using anything as a way of making it sensational. We as a general public should hold the media to a much higher standard and not accecpt such pitiful reporting.
