ok... I've been taking pics as my wife has been working... here's a few...
ya have to start somewhere... why not by laying it all out on the hardwood floor...

after marking how much is needed.. you have to have it inspected by the cat..

then start marking off the pleats...

here's a close up shot after completing one of the outer pleats...

more pics will follow after she gets all the outer pleats done...

I was looking at this and then I thought this must be a lot harder than making a tartan kilt because there is no sett to pleat to. You definitely do have a keeper there.

yes I do....she's definitely a keeper...not only is there no sett or line to pleat to, but that material didn't want to hold a crease at all. how she managed to sew those inner pleats is beyond me... all I can say is she's friggin awesome...
