    So, from the looks of your single-breasted doublet it probably could be made into one... with the right buttons added and a pair of epaulets (if desired). The only thing I'm concerned about would be the jacket buttoning up too high for the bow-tie. It looks like the ones at uniformalwearhouse.com come right up to the neck.

    Does anyone have any pics of a doublet with something other than a jabot? I honestly can't picture this style of jacket without one, unless you did the modern look and had a collar-less shirt on underneath it with just a stud at the neck button.

    This is the single-breasted doublet with a bow tie -
