    Be well,
Ahh yes, Your right. It makes far better battle cry. We will scream it at the tops of our lungs as we go into to battle against the soldiers of trouser tyranny. Along with, "THIS IS XMARKS!"

I really like the sound of "In Kilts, Fellowship" better than "In Kilted Fellowship." Given that the concept is to create a motto for our neo-clan, I think it better expresses the idea that our common interest in the kilt has drawn us together, and created a new bond between us. Also to me it sounds more clan motto-ish.

    Best regards,

I appreciate PD's thought here...if it gets too politically correct, what's the use?

    Be well,
I still think our battle cry should be "Kiss my pleats!"

I don't know, it just doesn't seem very welcoming to me. It comes across as too confrontational. I would think we want something showing unity, which will make people want to find out who we are and what we are about. We also want something that will make them want to be a part of our "clan".

Edit, that's just my two bits. I tend to agree with Phil that by the time everyone agrees the motto will be neutered to fit everyone's sensitivities.

Colin, read the post - he's proposing it as a BATTLE CRY. If Wallace had shouted "IN KILTS, FELLOWSHIP!" at Stirling Bridge, I don't think Mel would have had much left to make a movie about.

'In Kilted Fellowship' sounds fine to me. Would have preferred something different to 'Fellowship' though.
I did come up with a few alternatives today, but looking at them now I feel like cringing...glad I didn't post them. Well, maybe one...
