Cortland, NY Celtic Festival Aug. 25 & 26

This is sort of last minute but I found out about it recently.

Cortland Celtic Festival

Enter The Haggis will be performing as well as several other groups. The Mohawk Valley Frasers will be there as well.

I was out of town and didn't see this post till late Sat. night. I would have mentioned to try to catch the group "The Town Pants" before Enter the Haggis. We saw them in Fergus this year and they are really good. A great band to get the crowd up before Haggis.
JRB I hope you got a chance to catch both. Would have been a night with 2 of the many Canadian Celtic rock bands out there today.

Unfortunately, I had other plans for Saturday evening and missed both groups. I did get to see a group called the Causeway Giants who were very good and really got the crowd jumping. The festival was the smallest one I've ever attended (being held on the Cortland courthouse lawn) and didn't offer a lot to see. Still, it was free and only a 20 minute drive from where I was staying, so I'm glad I checked it out.
