Thanks, Barb. My wife's best friend lives just outside of Cortland. I bet I could talk her into that trip.

Hey Barb:
I can't make it to NY, but I'd love to see an image of those frosty tartans.
After my time in Alaska, I just have to see them!

I'll take some pics of the dancers this weekend and post them. My daughter dances in the Antarctica kilt, and her best friend dances in the Arctic.
If you're interested in seeing the tartans, go to

What did you decide to do about the Clergy tartan?
Cheers!

Just got the official word from the wife - I'll be there. She's going to visit her friend and turn me loose at the festival.

Well, I went. I probably won't return. There were two clan tents and a few vendors, only one of which had anything worthwhile. I had a nice chat with Anne, who owns The Harp & Dragon shop.
Sorry, Barb, I missed the opening, and your band's performance. I saw a few of your bandmates around, but none looked like your picture, so I didn't appproach them. There was a young piper named Nick who did a very nice solo performance after the caber toss.
The athletics were enjoyable. I understand this was the first year they had them. That should improve with time.
I really enjoyed The Peelers. They put on a great show in the pub. I'm somewhat ashamed to say I did not stick around for Gaelic Storm and Enter the Haggis, despite having paid the admission.
