    Regardless of what the purest may say or have said, I am begining to like black hose more and more with evening wear.

    Of course, I have yet to afford the proper tartan hose!!

    I always wear black hose with my formal outfit. It balances nicely with a black formal jacket. The only thing is if you wear the ghillie brogues the laces don't stand out from the hose.
