Another morning another set with the Wicked Tinkers. Keith Jones has taken to doing a cover version of the old rock and roll song "I want Candy" somehow the WT version is a little bit different. He sings it "I want Whisky" (Pour1Malt's theme song? ) Anyway I got to share a wee dram from my flask with all the all the Tinkers mid set. My 15 year old Dalwhinnie met with approval. Sadly I have no pictures of that.

Meanwhile more dancing from Sinbad and Xena

    With ice cream afterwards

Here is one for our Canadian friends, The Toronto Scottish Regiment Pipes and Drums.

They were pretty impressive! We watched from a shady vantage point

    A few more to come!

    w2f recovering afterwards

    Casey almost there!

Panache to Casey: "We are headed back to the MacNaughton tent"
Casey to Panache: "That's great I'm going to collapse right here!"

All in all it was a grand time (save for the 100+ heat). It was great seeing Alan H., way2fractious, bunchdescendant (with the lovely Chris and the little Celtic Dancer), walkerk (and the amazing Madalyn), Monkey@arms (and yet un-named cool son), kiltimabar, pipergeorge (with Gwenlass and his wonderful mother), and of course Gene and Ruth who are always such kind hosts and gave us shelter from the son and heat.

One last picture for those hearty souls still standing at the end of the day at the Clan MacNaughton tent...

Anderson I believe. Correct me if I am wrong. I think Anderson in a box pleat is fantastic. I might have to get me one of those!

The young man said he wore this box pleat kilt on a trip to Scotland, where he received many favorable comments on it. He related how one elderly gentleman said that he had not seen a kilt pleated like that in a very long time.

Fine weather! Did you say fine weather!? It was 105 degrees on Sunday! I was miserable! Can you imagine doing Highland Dance in 100+ weather? I only watched them and I almost passed out! But the games were good.

As you can tell, I don't like heat much. If we ever do get to Scotland, I may not come back.

    Be well,
