This one is fairly close to home, I am tempted to attend. Is the Kirkin' at 11:00 ?

What IS the kirking of the tartans. I know that a kerk is a church and would assume that this is an assembly for the blessing of the many clans? While I am thinking about it, is there an Atlanta based group..not just a pipers group, but those who share an interest in kilts, pubs, and Celtic interests?

Sounds like a good new thread.
As I am in Atlanta about every week or 2, I'd be interested in partaking in such a group.
Turpin and some others are creating a regional group called "SEKS."

Maybe we just need to name a place and time if the others in the area hold any interest.

Yes.
I plan to be there well before 11.
It is my parent's church (and was my home church, under another name and in a different building, growing up).
If you are kilted, you might be asked to carry a banner (if you want).

I'm reasonably sure I'll be there, I've had plenty of experience carrying banners at Kirkin's.

I have NOTHING to do with that selection, but they usually are open to ANYONE interested.
We have one in MacNeil, bought in honor/memory of my Neel ancestors. I hope to carry that one.
So, I might FINALLY get to meet some of you face-to-face!
YIPPEE!!!!!!
