    Jeep Damage

Thanks to all who replied to my thread about my daughter's Jeep being wrecked on the outerbanks and our subsequent problems. I thought those of you who are Jeep or other 4x4 enthusiasts might want to see the damage.

What you are looking at is the broken front axle. While nothing else appears broken, everything up front is severely mangled and bent up.

The insurance adjuster says that the Jeep isn't totaled, so the it is in the shop now.

    Bent Jeep

    Hey Jerry,
Could you drop in a ref to the other thread? OBTW the Jeepers motto seems to be "Build it Bust it Repair it Repeat" Glad they are fixing it though

OUCH! Best thing about Jeeps is the parts are pretty easy to come by and not too pricey!

Depends on the year and model. The older CJs are cheap and easy to fix. The newer stuff is outrageous and high priced.

Is it a broken axle or just a broken axle tube.
