New uilleann piper
So I've got this friend who is a great musician. I mean, he is bloody brilliant. He is currently enrolled as a Music Composition major at university, and has in the past few months learned to play the uilleann pipes.
His myspace (conveniently located here) has a song that he recorded by the ocean one night.
Personally, I think it's pretty good, though he says that it gets a bit off towards the end, since he's been fiddling with the reed a bit and hasn't gotten it just right yet.
Anyway, thought y'all might want to give it a listen.

He sounds good! I just took up uilleann pipes too, so I know how difficult they can be!

Have your buddy go to the site for the group The Killdares out of Dallas. Their Uilleann piper's name is Matt. He and I played the Uilleanns together at Grandfather Mountain and he has the time to answer your friend's questions.
I'm glad he likes the things because they're very therapeutic! I play mine all the time just for relaxation!
Arise. Kill. Eat.
