Proper Kilt Pin Placement

I've heard 2" from the side, 4" from the bottom. Then again it could depend on the size and shape. Go by eye.

I wear mine about 3" up and 3" in, at an intersection of lines.

Basically, unless you are wearing the kilt as part of a uniform, there are no regulations about the placement of the pin.

Basically, put it in the general region of the lower corner of the outer apron. Then just eyeball it to where it looks best based on the tartan.

Mine tend to be a few inches up from the botton and a couple from the side, adjusted based on the tartan.
