My vote is with this guy for A' Man's a Man, though I like Paolo Nutini's version too. But for overall, I must say that I really like Smithfield Fair's album of Burns music, Burns Night Out.
My vote would be for Alex Sutherland or Ed Miller. both Edinburgh natives now living in the US. Alex & Ed both do a number of Burns songs as part of their perfomances, and both are "well versed" in Burns history and tradition. In fact, Ed has a PhD in folklore and has studied Burns' efforts to preserve Scottish folksongs.
But, if you want to see "the man himself", my vote would be Chris Tait also of Edinburgh.
