Kilted preferred but not necessary, 7 p.m. local time if possible but not necessary.
Single malt can be substituted for beer without penalty.
Here I must disagree, I may admittedly be in the minority, however as I do not drink and have not for close to 15 years I could not and would not support this. It is strange to me that you would say and I quote "Kilted preferred but not necessary".
Forgive me but this is a kilt forum, if you want to talk about everyone lifting a beer or single malt you might want to talk about it in the pub forum, not here.
That said, I will be out at our local gathering most likely lifting a ginger ale to this wonderful forum.

Let's stay in the spirit of the thread. Lift a beer, be it alcoholic, ginger or root. the important part is to raise a drink in toast of all the rabble on X Marks.

McMurdo I think you dost protest to much. I fully support your right to drink what you want and do not support drinking to excess. As I scan this forum beer and single malt are frequent topics. In fact a search for the word beer shows 500 hits.
You are not in the minority you are a majority of one in how you do things and what you use to toast on the 27th. I choose beer and will probably have 2 on the 27th and have my wife coming along to drive.
I believe that most on this forum understood the "lifting a beer" as a generic statement to join in to toast being kilted and X-MarkstheScot and the fellowship of the kilt. I am relatively new to the this forum and apologize if I over stepped my bounds.
I will limit my input in the future.
