Autumn has been making me homesick. The leaves here don't change into the vibrant colors like they do in Wisconsin, and the cider, although good, is clear and sweet, a far cry from the cloudy, bitter cider from the orchards of my home.
I also go out of my way to step on a crunchy-looking leaf.
Oh, and Wisconsin Badger games too. It's not just watching the Badgers, it's the whole ceremony I miss. Waking up on a Saturday at 10:00, finding a spot in Camp Randall's parking lot to start tailgating. Just relaxing with a few beer brats and deep fried Wisconsin cheddar cheese curds (WHOA could I go for a few of those night now!), enjoying the cool weather with friends, and then during the game cheering on the band, singing "On, Wisconsin!" with my dad. Afterwards, going home and warming up with a fire and some homemade pumpkin soup and rye bread.
Ok, I gotta stop now...

I too love autumn, although I don't recall appreciating it until I came to Canada. the crunching of the leaves, the frost, the first snow. As I grow older though I'm appreciating spring more and more.
