I'm not much for Halloween anymore, since all of my kids are grown and no grandkids are yet on the horizon. We live in the country, and our house isn't even visible until you pull into the yard, so we don't get trick or treaters either. But, I love the cooler temperatures of Autumn. I haven't had any heat or cooling on since the end pf September. The leaves are just starting to turn, and the smell of wood smoke occasionally drifts over from my nearest neighbor (nearly a quarter mile away) Weekends feature Saturday mornings sitting in my tree stand, with my crossbow, and afternoon college football, especially Va Tech. It's great see that the students have put the tragedy from earlier this year behind them.
