Ohhh! Could it be connected? This is going to be interesting .

I've recently met many of the folks working for Canadian Tourism and they are smart and charming and very diplomatic.

In Canada the Canadian Tourism Commission is run by the federal government as well as provincial and municipal tourism. Is there not he same sort of deal in Scotland in a local capacity. this VisitScotland sounds as if it's a business concern to peddle the wares of contributors only.

Actually, I mentioned this thread and Robertson's complaint to my wife, who is beginning negotiations to have the annual meeting of her society in Scotland and she noted that the Visit Scotland people were not only not helpful but actually discouraging. Nice...very nice.
