Not too be critical of anyone's business but the Buzz Kidder kilts have a problem in my opinion, there is no taper from the waist to the hip so the fell is sewn very short so the pleats can allow room for the butt.

If that is your shape they look good but it can be a problem if you have a large taper between the butt and waist.

As in any standard size kilts there may be the exceptionally ample posterior that may well command a truly tailored custom finish at a cost to address the many extra hours of labor.

My understanding is that Kidder Kilts do in fact have a 10% taper. Having worn the casual and, my favorite, the black watch at 5' 9 1/2" and 242 pounds that have shifted considerably since most was muscle and on my chest to being amply distributed around the glutius maximus and the dunlop at 57, I have been more than pleased.

In fact, having made my first kilt as a belt line waist, I have found that Kidder's taper plus the belly button level waist are far more appropriate for such as myself.
