I think that what cavscout was getting at was that this supplier now carries KILTS as well as hats, badges, hackles, sporrans, tunics, etc. I've got three hats from them- all well made (in Pakistan). I note that they don't say what fabric the kilts are made from. I would guess they are acrylic. In fact the buckles on them make them look almost exactly like pre 2006 SWK standards.
    I've kilt for less.

New KILT supplier- it finally sank in. It's been a looong day and I skipped my evening nap. No offense was even remotely intended.

I got very excited there for a minute.

I sent them an email just out of curiosity to see what fabric the kilts are made from...

Yeah, 8 yard 16 oz. WASHABLE most likely won't be wool. Acrylic is a safe bet.

Depending on quality, $175 still might be too steep. But if their tartan selection is large they may do fine.

I remember seeing a post from Rocky recently saying he couldn't find 16 oz acrylic and offering an "incentive" If someone can point him towards it. This may be it. Or that may have been an old post.

They do claim "made to measure". Could be like a Stillwater, just custom fitted.

Rocky is looking for a source for 16 oz. polyviscose, not acrylic.

Especially when you can get a standard or econo for at Stillwater in the same material.

    You can also see :
    http://www.douglashouse.net/budgetstore.html
    http://canadakilt.com/

These are the likely the same material and source, but "made to measure" as well.
