I was at a Celtic Festival on St. Patrick's Day in my hometown of Roanoke VA. It was down in the city. I was coming around a street corner with my family when a wind current just flipped my WPG Seaforth pleats up like nobody's bussiness.

I've NEVER known a wind to phase my WPG Seaforth. Beware the city streets.

Use caution when you mix kilts and alcohol.

When I went to see the Tossers, Tony Duggins was piss drunk and he lifted my pleats up to my shoulders and spilled a beer down my back. Thankfully, I was not regimental.

A friend went with me to the Scottish Village held here for Tartan Week (well, this IS NYC!

) in Grand Central Station. As we walked around outside the building, he didn't think to avoid the subway grates in the sidewalk, and wound up doing a Marilyn Monroe.

At a kilted weekend event, I was standing in front of the hotel, and a gust of wind came around and lifted my kilt completely up... of course I had my hands full, so it was a struggle to unload my hands and get my kilt back down! The gals at the front desk of the hotel got an eyeful!

The other embarrasing experience was that I was at a fundraiser here in Denver (I was kilted and regimental) and one of the entertainment acts was a local square dance group that I belong to... someone didn't show up, so they asked me to fill in... all I can say is twirling and square dancing in a kilt is a sure way to flash your audience!!

I had a similar experience on one of the first times I wore mine. I was part of a school funded trip to Washington DC, kilted, regimental, and with a group of ten surrounding me. We were sightseeing. The night before, while wearing pants, I walked over the edge of a grate in the sidewalk. This time, while kilted I decided to not let my fear of heights get to me and walked right over it. It happened that THIS time, there was a strong updraft. Thankfully, my hands were fast enough to hold everything down.
