The trading post where I bought the knife had no clue who made it for them. My lady, who lives down on the Hopi rez, is gonna see if she can find a Hopi knifemaker willing to do some work. She's in contact with many of the artists down there.
I agree, a more traditional shape with Native American decorated handle would be a great product. We'll see what we can do if we can find a Hopi knifemaker.
