I don't think that the owners of the Rockies were trying to insult anyone... you have to look at it from their perspective - they have a great team, made up of players who don't have as outrageous salaries as other teams (which in my PERSONAL opinion has been the ruination of the GAMES we so dearly loved in the past), and they gave it a go! They made it to the World Series! The owners can't come out to the press and say "Hey, our team is second rate and there's no way we could have won against Boston..." that would be an insult to the players not only of the Rockies, but all baseball players!

They had a GREAT run getting to the series, they had an unfortunate break in play-time, which allowed for a cool-off period, and they never really recovered. Boston played a great game. period.

I'm glad that the Rockies got to experience it...

    Ron... read this article:

    http://www.wmur.com/redsox/14416453/detail.html

Papelbon (and other Red Sox players) and the guys from Dropkick Murphys are friends. They saw him do his "riverdance" and got the bright idea to slap a kilt on him.

I assume it was not a Red Sox special weave.

Now we can focus on the Patriots!
Whatever ones we had on the rack... Royl Stewart, MacQueen, Hamilton, American Heritage.

It's US and Canada teams. Also... there are increasing # of players who are coming to baseball from other countries (Japan).

The parade is going on right now (check out espn360.com) and Dropkick and Papelbon are on a float together. They keep announcing that Papelbon has the kilt and will wear it at City Hall to do his jig. If anyone in Boston can get a picture (it may be in the Globe) or if anyone finds a picture of him (or the other players) in our kilts online anywhere, PLEASE send me a copy. I want to put it on our site.

    Thanks guys!

Rocky -- I guess Ken didn't give him the instructions about what to wear (or NOT wear) under the kilt.
    1. Regimental
    2. Briefs
    3. Boxers
    4. Levi's???

Oh, well. It's still good fun:

Yeah, I really wish he would not have had pants under it, but not much we can do about that... it was still pretty cool that the "talk of the news" today is about a man in a kilt.

Thanks for all the video links!
