Me! on my recent Panama trip

Wonderful pics Jay. That seemed like a very short two weeks. I trust the southern California fires didn't detract too much from your trip.

Well yes, they did. But in the end everything worked out OK. Nobody I know was burned out. A few had some fire damage, many, many were evacuated, still alot of smoke in the air.

But it was worry-some trying to get news just by cell phone.

One thing that pissed me off, I didn't find out about the evacuation until hours later, and my house sitting there empty. I could have had three couple stay over at my place. The frig was empty, but there was food in the freezer. -But by the time I found out about the evacuations, everyone had found places to roost for a few days.

If the winds don't shift and intensify, the firefighters should be able to contain things by the middle of next week.

Makes for some neat sunrise and sunset photos!

Dang Master Gunny, that has got to be the way to go for a boat trip. I'll bet you didn't even once, when over the 1mc hear that call "sweepers, sweepers, man your brooms", have to look for a place to hide.
